Stewart Copeland’s Police Deranged for Orchestra is a high energy orchestral evening celebrating the work of legendary rock star and composer, Stewart Copeland and focuses on the epic rise of his career in music that has spanned over four decades.
Copeland is a unique figure in world music: renowned as the founder of The Police, a band that became a defining force in rock music from the ‘80s through to the present day; he is also a seasoned and prolific composer in opera, ballet and orchestral music.
This concert will be an evening bursting with The Police’s biggest hits including ‘Roxanne’, ‘Don’t Stand To Close To Me’ and ‘Message in a Bottle’. With Copeland on drums, three singers, and a guest guitarist, Bob Bernhardt leads the Louisville Orchestra in this unique concert experience.

Yes! Louisville audiences are lucky to see Stewart Copeland himself perform live at this special concert with Louisville Orchestra.
At most of our venues, if you arrive after the concert has begun, an usher will seat you at an appropriate time, such as during applause or intermission. At the Kentucky Center, monitors located in the lobby allow you to follow the performance while you wait.
Concert length varies, but we recommend planning for about two hours, including an intermission. Digital programs include the specific music run-time, which can give you a better idea of the concert length. Please note that music run-time only covers the pieces being performed and does not account for speaking between pieces, applause, etc.
At The Kentucky Center, Old Forester Paristown Hall, and The Louisville Palace, you will go through security checkpoints upon entry.
