After a 1937 flood, the Louisville Orchestra was founded to help revitalize the city, later making history in 1950 by launching First Edition Records, the first orchestra-owned label. With over 450 new works commissioned, Louisville became a hub for contemporary music. The First Edition Club honors this legacy, inviting major donors to join us in shaping the future of orchestral music.
