2026-27 Classics Series

Eight Concerts. One Powerful Season.

Under the visionary leadership of Music Director Teddy Abrams, the 2026–27 Classics Series features monumental works and bold collaborations, from Verdi’s "Requiem" and symphonies by Sibelius, Brahms, and Mahler to a two-day Beethoven Piano Concerto Marathon with Stewart Goodyear at the piano. Guest artists including Ray Chen, Ahmed Alom, and Peter Oundjian join the Louisville Orchestra alongside world premieres by Creators Corps composers, a newly commissioned symphony by Timo Andres and a world premiere by LO's own, Teddy Abrams. The season concludes with a major operatic collaboration with Kentucky Opera in Richard Strauss’s Salome, offering subscribers the full breadth of orchestral music across the year.
