MakingMUSIC Ensemble School Visits
Host a Louisville Orchestra chamber performance and give your students a unique opportunity to experience live music in an educational setting. A small ensemble of professional LO musicians will present a 45-minute program designed to introduce students to a wide range of instrumental music and musical themes. Through live demonstrations, students will explore key musical concepts, discover how different instruments work together, and become familiar with the sounds and roles of various orchestral instruments.
Cost: $1,500 / Audience: Grades 3-8
Program Length: 60 minutes

Once Upon An Orchestra School Performance
Small chamber ensembles present 20-minute interactive storytelling-through-music performances—playing music and narrating the text from favorite children’s books. With a focus on music and general/early literacy education, these performances are perfect for your school’s youngest students or PTA-sponsored cross-generation family events! Students will delight in seeing stories come to life through sound!
Cost: $1500 / Audience: K-3 and intergenerational audiences
Program Length: 30 minutes

Musician-Led Masterclasses and More!
Individual LO musicians are available to lead 1-hour masterclasses or sectionals with middle and high school band or orchestra students. Sessions can focus on selected repertoire and include exercises from warm-ups to performance techniques and help prepare students for festivals, conferences, and auditions. Consider hosting multiple musicians for different ensemble sections.
Cost: $350 / Audience: Band & Orchestra, grades 6-12
Program Length: 60 minutes
