After graduating from Ohio University and spending the summer in the Colorado Philharmonic I came to Louisville began with the Louisville Orchestra as section violist, part-time strings instructor with Jefferson County schools and member of the Kentucky Opera orchestra. During periods when the orchestra wasn't working I traveled to study with various violists as listed above , including a summer at Interlochen and a summer with the Chicago Civic Orchestra. In 1981 when the orchestra achieved full time status adding the Kentucky Opera and Louisville Ballet in our performance schedule I added a vigorous private teaching schedule as well.
