Edvard Grieg (1843–1907) was a renowned Norwegian composer and pianist of the Romantic era, known for incorporating Norwegian folk music into his compositions. Born in Bergen, he studied at the Leipzig Conservatory but found his true voice in National Romanticism. Grieg is best known for the Piano Concerto in A Minor and the Peer Gynt suites.
