Henri Vieuxtemps (1820–1881) was a renowned Belgian violinist, composer, and influential pedagogue, celebrated as a premier 19th-century virtuoso. A child prodigy, he studied with Charles de Bériot, toured extensively, and helped shape the Franco-Belgian violin school. He notably taught in St. Petersburg and Brussels and composed seven popular violin concertos.
