Jessica Chancey joined The Louisville Orchestra’s flute section as the piccolo player in 2023. Born in Longwood, Florida, Jessica Chancey began playing flute at the age of eleven. She holds a bachelor of music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Mary Kay Fink. Jessica has also studied with Colleen Blagov, Principal flute of the Orlando Philharmonic and Sandra del-Cid Davies, flute/piccolo with the Kennedy Center Opera House/Washington National Opera. Before coming to Louisville, Jessica Chancey was a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, The Blossom Festival Band, and the Lexington Philharmonic. Ms. Chancey teaches flute and piccolo at Highland Hills Middle School, Floyd Central High School, and privately. She plays a Powell piccolo and an Emanuel flute.
